Half my shit is made from welded pipe and metal stock so standard olympic bar clips are too big. I found these things called Lock-Jaw Collars that actually hold really well. They’re not too expensive, ~$30 and have held up even with dropping logs and bars from overhead.
i just use 2" clips for welding, 3 bucks a piece at harbor freight.
I have a pair of those as well and I like them but one of them snapped in half when I dropped an axle
