Clen and Yohimbine

#1

Picked me up a copy of Lyle McDonald's Stubborn Body Fat Solution, and he talks a bit about yohimbine.

For those of you that don't know (I didn't), yohimbine is an alpha receptor antagonist and alpha receptors put the brakes on fat burning. So if you were to combine it with a beta receptor agonist (clen) then you would, supposedly, have a bitchin' fat loss mega stack.

However, he doesn't recommend it as he says it'll make you feel terrible.

Has anyone tried combining the two? I handle clen sides ok, and I'm going to add in the yohimbine in my next cut (March next year, probably) so I'm wondering just how awful it'll make me feel.

i would not combine the 2…

there would be a pretty big spike in BP and heart rate…

i would alternate the 2. clen for 2 weeks, yohimbine for 2 weeks, etc…

if you used something with a shorter half-life, then you could combine them…

yohimbine in the AM, and ephedrine or albuterol later on, maybe a couple times…

FWIW, i’m a serious stim junkie… i stacked yohimbine and ephedrine when i was younger (and it worked great) but i’m certain it was not safe, and if it weren’t for the fact that i have a weird cardiovasular system (HR is generally in the 40’s and BP is borderline low) i would not have been able to get away with that…

thanks man, I’d appreciate that

I would never recommend anyone to take yohimbine. I have never taken clen, but I have used yohimbine in the past and it made feel awful. Racing heart rate, nausea, and zero energy, and my appetite was literally non existent.

Then again, I have a low tolerance to stims. So that’s just me.

yeah that could work, although I’ve heard yohimbine gets more effective the longer you’re on it.

Do you know if there’s any downregulation (upregulation?) of the alpha receptors?

I tried yohimbine and it was terrible, the erections are so ridiculous they start to hurt sometimes and sex isn’t even fun on it, plus the heart palpitations and cold sweat all the time made the whole cutting process miserable. FYI the pill i took was marketed as an aphrodisiac but i figured it would work just as well for cutting, I don’t know if cutting stacks (i think HOT-ROX for instance) use a more tolerable dosage

#9

erections? What? I didn’t know yohimbine did that…

There seems to be some proof. I’ve heard of it but never took the time to read till this morning.

http://www.medicine.ox.ac.uk/bandolier/booth/sexhlth/youp.html

These are the two that I read.

#11

^yeah, that’s about twice the dose used for fat burning…

i believe there’s rapid up-regulation of the alpha receptors, but don’t recall where i read that. i personally don’t think it’s gonna be comparable at all to clen with oral administration… (the rapid up-regulation of both clen and yohimbine is part of why i think it’s a great idea to cycle between the 2…)

if you could get some topically-applied stuff, and put that on your problem areas, and i think you’d be much happier with the results. BUT, i’m not sure if anyone makes a topical yohimbine product anymore…

side note: there used to be a badass topical fat burner, that combined yohimbine and nicotine, and i know a lot of guys and gals that fucking loved that. nicotine’s a great fat burner as well, and the 2 had extremely powerful effects when combined…

#12

Lets see if we can get patches for everything. Nicotine, yohimbine, and test. I can put like 50 of those test patches on and never have to pin… right?

#13

Lyle McDonald reckons the topical stuff is a pile of shite

#14

Yohimbine does help erections as it improves peripheral blood flow.

Yohimbine and clem sounds like a heart attack. I have taken yohimbine alongside ECA and it was too much for me, unless you enjoy a resting heart rate of 140+.

i dunno… i never used it that way, but i heard some people screwed up and got mild overdoses from the nicotine.

i believe Dan Duchaine used to inject it sub-q in women, and that was quite successful.

#16

didn’t really notice anything out of the ordinary… granted I began with 5mg yohimbine and around 120mcg clen…

I don’t see what the big deal is. if you are worried about blood pressure, just take some Cialis

#17

you need to take like 20 mg or so of yohimbine for it to work for fat loss…

why is Cialis an option for blood pressure when used with clen and yohimbine?

because it lowers blood pressure

#19

the effective dose of yohimbine is 0.2mg/kg

are you aware that yohimbine can also lower blood pressure?

apparently at certain levels, it raises BP, and at other, it lowers it. hence the reason why it’s generally suggested not to be taken with a beta-2 agonist…
