Clean & Jerk

Do you have to split your legs at the end of the movement?

There are 2 ways to jerk the weight, a push jerk and a split jerk.

I thought it was push press and split jerk (where ur legs do split). Either way, the clean and press, or the clean and jerk, both are great movements, and just two similar ways to get that weight up over ur head.

No a push press is a dip and drive, where a jerk is a dip, drive and dip/split.

There is a distinct difference between the 2, you should be able to jerk more than you can press or push press.
