Cialis Improves TRT?

I was wondering how many guys here use Cialis with testosterone therapy, and what your general feelings about combining the two are?

I’ve read some things that low dose Cialis daily can actually lower E2, and make guys on TRT feel a lot better than testosterone alone.

I know in my own case, I’m currently injecting 150MG of T per week, and I have good days and bad. If I take a low-dose (5MG) Cialis a couple times a week, it really helps me maintain an even sexual baseline – and I wake up consistently with morning wood, etc. I haven’t repeated blood tests since beginning this regiment, so I don’t know if it’s having any impact on numbers yet.

Having Cialis in my system seems to help me want to exercise more also. One week I went from feeling relatively lazy to literally climbing a 14,000 foot peak a couple days after popping a 5MG Cialis. Increased blood flow is a very good thing, and not just for the penis apparently – LOL

I use 6mg per day. Great stuff. Even if men don’t think they need it, they should try it. Add in some arginine and citrulline for even better results. Increased vascularity, great pumps, and a diamond cutter when you need it.

I used it prior to and most of the way through. Around 6mg and i am good for 2 or 3 days. And you are right that morning wood is constant. But does that mean the cialis is working or the TRT? I know they also say it does nothing for libido, but I swear it does for me. That may be psychological but when I take it, I want and think about sex more than when I don’t. Definitely good stuff although I have to try and hide my bright red ears when it first kicks in!

Well, to answer your question about it being the Cialis or the TRT – I can tell you that I personally had a dip in my TRT where my T got down to 250, and Cialis stopped working for me. It started working again once I got my T levels above 600, and switched from Androgel to injections… So I definitely know it won’t work without proper T levels! It says so on the packaging also…

Taking it before bed helps to kill most of the side effects for me. Especially on the small dose, there are almost no side effects. Maybe an occasional headache, or back ache the next day – but nothing a little Ibuprofen won’t knock out.

I only take it about once a week (On Friday, and I’m usually good until Monday/Tuesday) – because it’s so expensive, so I don’t know how much impact it’s having in my case on E2, etc… Would be curious to hear if anybody has heard of any other studies where guys tested their E2 before and after starting Cialis for daily use, etc.

i’ve heard this about cialis, but i wonder about the long term effects of use. anyone used it for a long while?

Cialis does not have any direct effect on E2. Your libido is a function of hormones and brain issues. ED meds to not create libido, only improve the hydraulic response to effects that begin with arousal in the brain. If you do get more erections, that does have an effect on the brain - complex.

If you have blood circulation problems, perhaps that is part of what you report. Is you hematocrit high? High blood pressure? Diabetes?

No lab data here, so a dead end.

I have been splitting 2.5 daily and eating 1mg a day… It works well for me like this… I get nocturnals and morning wood everynight and sometimes I will get a spontaneous… I really like this stuff… And 1mg per day is a relatively small dose and its working for me

Same here. I had great results with the daily Cialis, Dr. had coupons for a free month, but my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. So, I’m thinking of trying a research Chem tadalafil, which is a fraction of the cost. Has anyone else gone this route?

How long have u been using the 5mg daily now??? Just curious… I have been on TRT 6 months and I have been taking the 2.5 mg and splitting making a 1mg and then splitting the 1mg 2 times and ening up with a .25 mg or 1/4 of a 1mg… I can have sex daily and I have constant morning wood and nocturnals doing this… I think I am almost to the point to where I don’t need the Cialis anymore… I have been on test cream for almost 6 months…What are ure thoughts on this??? .25 isn’t hardly anything…its a sliver of a 1mg…Does this mean that TRT is healing me???

You are in the honeymoon phase. Do not count on this lasting forever. Take advantage of this as much as you can. With a transdermal T, your DHT levels can be high and DHT is more a driver of libido than T. T is needed but DHT is mission critical. And E2 levels need to be at a level that are good for you and high E2 can dampen everything.

As for your ability to get by without Cialis, note that your brain and nerves are changing and with brain changes, thought and response changes are also progressing. Your sexual pursuit circuits are working well. Do things that keep you healthy and alert and your libido will reach its potential.

Libido and arousal are a feedback system. More erections promote more sexual activity in the brain. So its a self reinforcing type of thing. A little Cialis that keeps things interesting may keep your libido higher as a “positive reward” for such brain activities.

KSman, I have read all kinds of different opinions on what is the optimal range for dht and people are all over the place. In your opinion what is optimal dht? Thanks in advance.

[/quote]Thank u for the response… I agree with u… So being that the small does of Cialis daily is enough to get by on … it should remain this way for a long period of time correct?? Its only a 1/4th of a 1 mg… What I mean is as long as im healthy this low dose can work like its working forever correct?? What I mean is that it shouldn’t get any worse as long as I remain healthy and keep an eye on my E2 correct??

Everything is individualistic, even when one is 'text book". If you feel great, stick to what is working. You know that E2 is mission critical for you, so labs are important to know were you are at.
