Cialis...Any Thoughts?

#1

Any of you guys have experience with cialis? Benefits? Thanks.

#2

I’m personally not a fan. It gives me headaches.

Works amazingly. Much less adverse effects than viagra or levitra. 10mg Viagra made me so sick I had a headache and flu-like symptoms, including facial flushing and congestion for about 12-16 hours. Never again. Levitra was the first one I tried and it worked well but the typical facial flushing and nasal congestion. Keep in mind I tried these because of a briefly elevated E2 before getting a script for anastrozole.

Cialis makes me hard like when I was a kid and one dose lasts 4-5 days. Slight flushing the first day. Heartburn from a relaxed esophageal sphincter for about 6-7 days. Benefit to note was slightly relaxed prostate and better urine stream. I tried to take 5mg ED but it gave me severe flank pain so now only take it occasionally. These drugs have effects that cover all your systems so should be used with respect.

It works and you can take a small amount EOD. It also helps with BPH.

Such drugs improve blood flow [hydraulic] response to arousal. Without arousal, nothing happens. Does nothing for libido/desire.

What is a low dose? And does it really offer all the benefits mentioned in the link?

#7

5mg is a low dose. I took one last night because it’s been a couple weeks. Reminded me just how sick this stuff makes me feel. Headache, eyes watering/glaucoma, nasal congestion, fatigue, brain fog. Ugg. How these drugs ever got approved I have no idea. Back pain and GERD are coming on after 20Hrs.

KSman is correct EOD or greater is best. ED is more likely to give you worse sides because it lasts so long.

I think I’ll pass. Too many unwanted side effects. Thanks guys.

#9

Most do not have any side effects. You should not use if taking certain heart medications.

#10

I take some HTN meds. I don’t think cialis is contraindicated for HTN.

What Cialis is meant to do, it does well. I have sensitivities to most medications and have never been in the group that doesn’t get sides. From anything. Usually I get the entire list. The emerging area of pharmacogenomics might explain why.

If you can get a sample its worth trying out to see if you get any of the sides.
