Cialis and Citrulline

Ok so I did a little experiment. I get occasional heart paps especially when laying down at night. Cardiologist checked says it’s PVC.

So I removed Cialis it’s 8 days now and I still get the paps. Btw I think paps are from my hormone fluctuations.

I can still have sex with no Cialis :grinning:. Erections are better on Cialis though. My blood pressure with no Cialis ranges from 120-130/80-90. With Cialis it’s 110-118/about 70-75.

Question should I restart Cialis daily mainly for optimum blood pressure and added benefit of harder erections or start a BP drug like losarton?

@physioLojik @anon10035199 @NH_Watts anyone can respond just tagged my known followers.

I take losartan and have thought about trying daily Cialis for BP control. The only issue would be whether or not Cialis would work. Sounds like it does for you. Side effects from BP meds are not fun.

@anon10230041 try 400 mg magnesium glycinate a day. Should fix the issue.

So no Cialis for now?
Mag I gather for heart paps and pressure? And take mag at night? Or I can do 200mg 2x a day. @physioLojik thanks man.

Have you ever tried an alpha blocker ? @anon10230041

Never tried any blood pressure including Alpha blockers. And why would you prefer alpha blocker v Cialis? And if you suggest alpha blocker which one? @physioLojik

This was from a few months ago. Just taking multi vitamin.

I would Rx clonidine. Side effect is it increases growth hormone. Oh darn.

Ok. I read Alot about Doxazosin. Anyway still would like to know why alpha better than Cialis?

My igf-1 already in the very high normal range. Just saying.

Am 41

@highpull
I wrote my cardiologist today here is his response.

As far as blood pressure, clonidine is way too strong of a medication. You shouldn’t use that.
Typically, we don’t recommend doxazosin for blood pressure, unless there are no other options. And it doesn’t really work for ED.

So, use the cialis. If the blood pressure remains elevated, we should try a more standard medication to control it.

Lol
Clonidine isn’t strong relatively speaking. Prazosin isn’t a bad option either. Granted I’m not a cardiologist and I don’t claim to be. But my guys have a lot of luck with these two meds.

Shit this is awesome to hear, I take something similar (not giving name because I don’t want to incriminate myself) off label for anxiety, it, like clonidine is also an alpha 2 adronergic receptor agonist and I looked it up and a few papers have shown it also may increase GH secretion (you probably know which one I’m talking about… I’ll give a hint, it has a greater predilection towards the alpha 2a subtype), awesome to know this will help my progress in the gym… However I think it might also be the reason I’ve been sleeping so much as my dose was increased about five months ago. #sedation. Also probably why I typically have very low blood pressure

Does the increase in GH also correlate with me experiencing a greater likelihood of developing detrimental myocardial remodelling (I’m going to experience LVH regardless as I exercise 2 hours+ per day so… Yup @physioLojik

@unreal24278 how is your libido and erection quality

@physioLojik was this question directed at me? My libido isnt great, but it in the dirt either, I jerk off every few days, when my libido is high I do it 1-2 times per day (no joke when I hit puberty I was doing it 6-7 times per day). Erection quality is low-medium at best at the moment.

I’ve actually taken Cialis before, makes it easier to get an erection but doesn’t help when one doesn’t have the drive. When I have a high drive there’s no problem with me getting erections

@unreal24278 sometimes those sides are from alpha blockers which is why I was asking.

Interesting, I wasn’t aware of that, if it is the alpha blocker reducing my libido and erectile quality I’d say the trade off is worth it, it legitimately helps a ton with regards to my overall anxiety.

I’d rather take L-Citrulline in caps/pills etc… as opposed to, yet again, more powder. LOL
I can’t find it in caps. Does anyone have a link or source?

how your sleep going ? how many days a week you are working out ? witch kind of program you do ?

I sleep about 12 hours a day (its an issue), i work out about 6-7 days per week, however i lift weights 5-6 times per week. I tend to use a split style routine, many people say the bro split doesnt work, however ive gotten very nice results off said routine, ive done full body routines 3x/wk and i prefer a 5-6 day split. I do cardio most days

it goes like this

day 1: Pull (entire back, biceps, forearms, however i dont prioritze biceps as i dont believe they’re important, they grow with or without isolation for me) sometimes i’ll do calves afterwards.

day 2: push (chest, triceps) however I prioritize triceps over chest, firstly my shoulders cant handle heavy pressing (although I can press heavy if I want to… I just don’t), my triceps have always been my worst body part, they lag behind therefore I tend to put most of my effort into them with dips, skullcrushers and overhead extensions.

Day 3 legs: I tend to focus more on my hamstrings because I like training them. Quads second (although I should be prioritising them more) and calves third. I can’t squat due to joint pain therefore I substitute squats with leg press.

Day 4: Shoulders
I can’t do heavy OHP due to joint pain, therefore if I do OHP I do it after a ton of lateral raises as a finisher (very light weight). I always start my shoulder workout with the posterior area of my deltoid. Then I’ll do one or two tricep movements to get blood pumping. Finally ill work on my rotator cuff a

Day 5: back again

Day 6: either legs or chest

I eat a loooooot of food to compensate for the amount of physical activity I do. @bigmax

How is the blood pressure?

Edit: I see you mentioned later in the thread that it is an issue. Apologies I missed the readings.

My pressure is fine with Cialis. A little high without.
