Saturday

Picked up a bunch of expensive oddly shaped items and relocated ~25 miles. Then farmer carried the implements.

Sunday

Played a double headed. Due to my catcher breaking his wrist last week, I had to catch. Spent roughly an hour in a third world squat. My quads and fried today.

Monday

Woke up and did some KB swings and goblet squats. Not sure I’ll get a session in tonight. I need to clear a space in the agarge to set up the gym.

My morning weight was 212.6, which tells me I’ve gained ~2lbs of fat since June 1. Not horrible, all things considered. I’m terrified to see how weak I am though. I’ll probably just post reps and sets and conceal the lack of weight I’m moving. Haha.

Not sure what my short term plan will be. I’ve got the new 5/3/1 book laying on my side table to start reading. Will most likely jump on a plan that looks good and eat at Maintenace through mid-September. Then start cutting down again until Christmas. I’d still really like to get down to ~10% BF, then slowly add size/strength for a year.

Short term strength goals would be:
DL 405 - this might come real fast. I just haven’t deadlifted in months.

Squat 365 - this might take longer. Haven’t pushed past 315 this year.

Axle OHP 205 - I’ve kept pressing up by doing random Kb presses. So hopefully this hasn’t gone down too much

Clean 225 - is really like to think I could do this after a few sessions we’ll see.

Crazy weekend. Played four baseball games and hit in a HR derby. I also got promoted to league president, so spent about 24 hours at the field in the last two days. Completely exhausted, but season is over and ready to hit the weights hard this fall and winter.

My weight is bizarre as of recent. Sunday evening weighed 209. Last night and again tonight, 222. Wake up in the morning at 214. I don’t care too much right now. Just trying to eat well and get stronger.

Woo, cake day!

Not sure i’ll get a workout in today. This is historically the worst week of the year for me. School starts on Tuesday which means I tirelessly work to get occupancy on all the summer projects I have so kids can attend class on Tuesday. Probably going to go to the fair tonight and drink and eat milkshakes.

No man, not weak. There is no such thing as being weak. Theres training hard and progressing from less strong to stronger. Keep at it.

So… come to the realization that my best deadlift and Bench are 100lbs heavier. My best Press is 70lbs more than what I did today and my deadlift isn’t even close. This past year I’ve lost strength and probably some size. I did lose 27lbs, but gained some back. The caveat is that I received a huge promotion, made a ton of money, paid off all my debt and got a brand new house.

So… all in all the trade off was worth it, but I need to get my shot together. Currently prepping a bunch of meat for lunch this week. Hoping to save money and actually eat well. I spend way too much money every day eating out.
