[Chris] About DB Clean and Press

Hello to everyone,

I have one question especially for Chris, I think

I have tried The Dan John Bulking Program.
2 days after, my triceps has still BIG DOMS !

Despite training them 2 times/week, with one pushdown variation, one close-grip pressing variation, and one overhead extension variation
how do you explain these DOMS ? Just curious.
Are DB clean and press the culprits ?

Mat’
PS. have to say that this program rocks !

This one, from the “10 Secrets” article?

Or his Mass Made Simple plan, or a different routine?

Presuming you’re doing that 10 Secrets plan, where’s the tricep work coming from? What days did you add it to? (and why?)

Again, if you’re doing that plan, then you’re already DB pressing and benching three times a week. Any extra triceps work could/would/apparently is overkill.

There is a chance that your DB clean and press, if you’re using a neutral grip, is putting the tris through a greater range of motion than you’re used to. But my money’s on what I said above, just too much pressing plus isolated tri work.

yes, this one

last week, I could only train one day. So, I tried this full-body routine to match all major muscle groups in one session
and, well
to try it
(always loved Dan John’ work)

you got it !
I used a neutral grip, and THIS was a new way of overhead pressing for me.

Thank you, gonna add this grip for now, to hit my triceps a different way !

You hear that whooshing sound??? In case you were wondering what that was, it’s “the point”, you missed it.
