Chocolate Syrup in Protein Shakes

Difficult to get carbs in post workout so want to add chocolate syrup in my protein drink. Is that ok?

I do it, but that doesn’t mean its ok.

Hell, I’ve been known to eat pierogies and chicken pwo, so I’m just lucky to be on this side of the dirt!

Hmmm… I thought that’s why they made ChipsAhoy cookies! You throw down a row of those and you’ll hbae plenty of carbs!

You can add it, doesn’t mean it’s optimal as it’s mostly empty sugar and offers no health benefits. If you’re taking the IIFYM approach, carbs are carbs. If you want a better option, you can easily add raw oats, or cereal, a banana is portable and very easy on the stomach, piece of fruit, etc.
