About a month and a half ago I partially tore my right pec at the armpit for the second time in 2 months. This time, I plan on making sure my strength is back and my pec is healed by doing bodyweight only exercises for a long time and slowly adding weights to them.
Today was chest and tris day so my workout looked like this:
Jump push-ups: 3 sets to failure
Push-ups: 2 sets to failure
Dips: 5 sets to failure
Tricep pressdown: 3 sets to failure
Then some shrugs and forearm work.
My question is, is the bodyweight approach a good idea as far as rebuilding my strength and protecting myself from further injury?
