So I wear a belt only when doing heavy singles or doubles while squatting or deadlifting. For about the past 3-4 weeks I have noticed a sharp pain in my right chest under my pec whenever I am doing the concentric portion of the lift. If I take the belt off I don't get the pain. Anyone else experience this or have an idea what might be causing it (other than the part where it only happens while wearing a belt)?
sounds like you should see a MD my friend, increase in intra-thoracic pressure with the belt. Id get checked out just to be safe.
