Chest/Back Strength Ratio

I’ve been doing a 5x5 program and the routine that was developed based upon my 1 rep max…I see that im doing similar weights for barbell bench press and for barbell bent over rows…is that okay??

Absolutely. In fact, it’s incredible- most people train the press more than the row, and end up with dangerous asymetries in their later years of lifting.

Damn, I wish I could row as much as I can bench. I recently (yesterday) put up 315 lbs for 5 on bench… and with good form, I don’t think I could do more than 245 for 5 on rows.

Thats perfect. Now, double them both.

yeah im still a small guy…im only benching and rowing around 175…but i guess thats average for my weight (160)
