Cheap Glass Containers?

I’m starting to consider buying glass storage instead of my plastic containers for health reasons. however, everywhere I look, I find items that are too expensive.

The best things I’ve found are these: http://www.anchorhocking.com/products.asp. however, I’m definitely sure that someone here knows a cheaper place to buy them.

I don’t know about rectangular containers, but I like Mason jars for drinks, powders, etc.

You can store food in them, as well, but you’ll need the bigger wide-mouth, quart-size jars for that. Otherwise, it’s a bit hard to dig out whatever is in there. It may deform your food a bit, depending on the item, although I could careless what my food looks like; it’s all bricks and fuel to me.

You can find them very cheap in packs of 12-16 or so at any Wal-Mart, Meijer, or any other giant “superstore” you may have in your area.

I’m not sure what size you are looking for, but those Anchor glassware containers are everywhere for dirt cheap. I got a four pack of the one cup size to hold shave soaps, I think it was like $6 for all of them with tops are Target.
