My goal is to bulk and learn Krav Maga, the Israel martial art.

However, I’d also like to bulk, since I enjoy the aesthetic appeal and the testosterone motivation to get big.

I am considering a switch from lifting to swimming so that I can remain injury-free to continue the martial art without being hamstrung by injury.

Is it possible to swim and bulk?

Any endurance activity (such as swimming) will result an a small gain of muscle mass for a total beginner, but after your body has adapted to the new stimulus, the gains will stop pretty fast.

But that wont be a problem since it’s absolutely unnecessary to “bulk up” to learn a martial art, if you’re not planning on competing and switching weight classes.

On a side note, correct lifting does not only not injure you, it even helps to recover from and prevent future injury’s.
