Casino Royale

Awsome movie and BEST 007 movie yet I think.

What about you guys ?

I think the first half was great. The last half not so much. Ive seen rave reviews everywhere for this flick and I have to say it dropped the ball in the last half. I dont need to see and hour of playing poker in a Bond flick.

The last action sequence was shit . Then there was fifteen minutes of romance near the end where I wondering if it was over or not. I still enjoyed I just dont think I watched the same flick as everyone else.

I enjoyed it. I think the shift from goofy gadgets to a more realistic bond (and definitely a lot more serious) was a good move. I am looking forward to future D. C. Bond films.

That was the whole purpose of a Bond flick. Suspence and psychological warfare, no constant action.

Same, I’m glad they finally decided to make a bond film that wasn’t self parody. Honestly all the other bond films just bored me because they were these monumentally stupid films that took themselves so seriously.

I agree. I saw it last night. The second half didn’t match the first. It wasn’t so much the poker game that was a let-down, but the whole romance and final plot twist, that I thought was only average.

still, worth seeing.

I AGREE!! I think they did a fantastic job in hitting the reset button on the franchise. Similar to what was done with Batman and Superman. These are franchises that could go on forever with the right writing/ directing teams. I was getting sick of the ridiculous gadgets and far-fetched plots. I also like the idea of a Bond that is in shape. Daniel Craig is the first one EVER to actually look like he could pull off some if any of the stunts. C’Mon now… watching Pierce Brosnan judo-chop his way thru a sea of thugs is only convincing for about mmmm 2 seconds. All in all i think DC is my new favorite Bond. Connery is second, and ol’ Pierce is 3rd.

I must say, the chick in the red dress was INSANELY hot.

I agree that the first half was awesome and the second half was more of a yawn.

Bond should’ve at least snuck in a quicky.

I think it was awesome. Craig is great. The first half was better, but the movie showed some cool origins. The martini, usually “shaken, not stirred” is the Bond preference, this movie he says “I don’t give a damn.” And he almost fell in love and got backstabbed, so now he is a womanizer. Lol. Good flick.

I really enjoyed this movie. Connery is still my favourite Bond, simply because I am not going to turn the title over based on 1 movie, no matter how good of a performance it was. I thought it was great to finally have a Bond that can pull off the whole arrogant swagger that needs to come with the double 0 tag.

Oh yeah, and I agree with that chick in the red dress comment, so friggin’ gorgeous!

She was Ms. Italy.

Agreed, I just laugh when i see Die another day b/c its kind of cheesy, I like the realistic bond and DC did good also. I thought the Poker scene was pretty awsome, it had me on the edge of my seat from all the bluffing
