Casino Royale Review

I must admit, I was a bit skeptical that Daniel Craig could pull it off. I liked him in his other work, but he just didn’t fit the image of Bond in my mind. So it is with great relief that I say:

THIS MOVIE ROCKED.

It’s quite possibly the best action film I’ve seen in several years and easily my favorite Bond movie of all time. The stuff I always disliked about the Bond franchise was removed or toned down, and all the stuff I loved was beefed up. Craig’s acting was superb. He’s one of those actors who can clearly communicate three or four emotions at one time, often without even saying a word.

He had a pretty solid build on him as well. Respectable size (similar to Bale in Batman Begins, only leaner). Certainly not pro or top amateur bodybuilder-type body here, but far above average.

Hmmm…I don’t know about “rocked”, but it wasn’t bad.

The opening foot chase was great. Whoever did the stunt work for the Ugandan character was very athletic.

The female love interest was bland and not a very good actress. That part of the plot was very predictable.

It was long and some parts were difficult to follow.

I heard the Queen went to the opening. Can’t help but wonder what she thought about that torture scene.

Thanks for the review, I have been hearing good things about this movie, I will check it out.

For all the people that say there aren’t any manly characters in movies anymore…go see Casino Royale NOW.

What female love interest has ever been “interesting” outside of Denise Richards?

At any rate, I really liked Craig in “Road to Perdition” and thought he was a good choice to play Bond. Thanks for the reviews, might go check it out on our annual thanksgiving eve trip to the movies…

B.

Respectable size, Daniel Craig…

+1. The ending could’ve been cleaned up a little better, but overall the movie was incredible.

Cmon, the ending was badass with him standing over the guy?(dont worry that doesnt give anything away)

bottom line, Craig was awesome as Bond

He’s a french free-runner, I believe. I’ve seen some of his other videos dfloating around google and youtube.

As for the moive: awesome! Best Bond movie I’ve ever seen (and I’ve seen all of em’).

Only criticism I have is the lead actress wasn’t to exciting, or well played.

Great movie!

It was Sebastian Foucan, one of the creators of free running and parkour.

I was very much impressed by this movie overall. The franchise had become a parody of itself over the years with each film being more and more over the top. This one was less out there in all respects and was driven much more by the Bond character, who was much more natural. The film in many ways reminded me of the best Connery films, Dr. No and From Russia with Love. My only complaint was that the movie was a little long, but that’s minor.

Sebastien Foucan is one of the pioneers of parkour, and is also credited with creating free running.

Craig was a real badass in this movie. I thought he did a great job as bond.

This was an amazing movie Daniel Craig was excellent on his debut. I heard he worked out for 5 days a week for the part on top of his scenes. Not sure what sort of training program he did though.

This movie was the shit, he really pulled it off as a new james bond. I must admit i wish there were more love scenes especially in the beginning with that italian babe…oh mannn

anyway i have to say it is one of the greatest bond movies and if you havent seen it go see it now!!!

I can remember like nearly a half year ago saying how jacked Daniel Craig was and that he should easily be the most badass bond yet, and was flamed on this board for doing so. All I can say know is, like usual,

I TOLD YOU SO

I admit that I’m not a big Bond fan, but this movie kicked ass. Action packed and far more believable than past movies. Craig is one badass Bond.

Anyone else think they saw a bit of a GH bulge in his belly? Kinda freaked out my mother o.O

Maybe it was just us?

Casino Royale is the worst Bond movie ever.

Doesn’t look like he lifts weights at all. Maybe push-ups…
