I recently had a set of blood tests that I posted on here. On discussing the results with the doctor, who said that everything was in the normal range (I have gathered that ‘normal range’ is so broad as to almost be meaningless), I asked about my body storing fat in the upper thigh and buttock areas.
She told me that this wasn’t due to low test or high estrogen, just that my body is predisposed to hold fat in those areas and that really the idea that men and women hold fat in particular areas is not true.
Is this doctor talking rubbish, or is there some truth in this? I certainly don’t know anyone else out of my male friends who stores bodyfat in the areas that I do.
