Cardio Priority the Older One Gets?

@CT Should steady state cardio and/or anaerobic work become a bigger priority the older one gets (i.e. 50’s)? My father started doing it for the last 6 months and his gym performance is getting better and better (anecdotal).

I think so. Probably because over time vascular health goes down and good ole cardio is still the best way to take care of that. And I do believe that the better your cardiovascular system, the more muscle growth you can support. your body (if you are natural) will prevent you from adding muscle mass you can’t support

Ya he did your 12 week fat loss program and your thib army one. The high frequency squatting and cardio is giving him returns on his lifts more than anything I have seen when he started lifting at 50 (currently 55).
