Cardio On Off Days of Strength Routine?

I’m almost 18, 170 lb’s, 6"0.

I’ve been doing Jim Wendler’s 5/3/1 strength program for the past month. For those that don’t know what it is, it’s a three day split; I’m doing Monday: DL, Wednesday: BP, Friday: FSQ.

Rugby season starts in 5 weeks and need to start doing more cardio to prepare. There’s a track near my house, any suggestions for what I should be doing? (Frequency, distance, sets?)

I was thinking of having one sprint day with sets of 60m.

And a longer day with interval 800m’s.

Would it be too much to throw in a third?


Wouldn’t be too much, just make sure you’re eating enough
