Cardio damage control

I like doing steady-state cardio for pure health reasons. However, Im concerned how it might negatively affect my ability to put on beef. What would be the best precautions to take prior and after a 45 minute run? Im thinking some liquid carbs and a big whey shake could be the way to go.

I think the conclusion was reached on Lair of the Ice Dog to have grape juice + whey, or MRP + water, or something of the sort that you would usually have following Surge but before the whole meal after IBUR or 400m, so I’m assuming this also applies to steady-state. TT has BCAAs before steady-state.

I think eating 20-30 min. prior to your cardio would also help.
