Cardio and Power

Hey all. Just wondering what sort of approach you all take to cardio when your main goal is strength and power? I’m a competitive powerlifter, so power has to be the main goal.

I have been doing weighted vest walks, but I see that others do more high intensity, shorter duration stuff. I know that Jim recommends high intensity stuff in general, sprints etc, but also speaks about weighted vest walks and other lower intensity stuff for things like the Beyond strength challenge.

Just wondering what the various opinions on here are?

I always heard about the “airdyne” bikes here and i got to try a similar bike with handles and air resistance and ive gotta say its great and apart from vest walks at home i use that at the gym after training.

Jim only recommends easy conditioning to those who seek primarily strength - So keep doing what you are doing.
