Anyone else experience an increase in carb cravings specifically starches after eating them? Is there a reason for this? For the most part (90%) i get my carbs from veggies and some fruit but, I notice that when I eat bread, rice or any other starch I will begin to crave more. It can get pretty bad.
Yes, definitely. My high carb day I get all my carbs from glucose rich goodness, also the day I am the hungriest. You release insulin, makes you more hungry, spikes the blood sugar, so it is natural. Just gotta deal with it.
That’s why ‘cheat meal’ often becomes ‘cheat day’ (for me, anyway). I like flexible dieting but there is a lot to be said for good old cold abstinence!
