Carb Cycling- Night Workouts

So if I usually work out late at night ~10p-11p, would it be better to low carb the workout day, then high carb the day after for recovery or vice versa? I’m testing out a carb cycling approach and have seen good results but wonder which scenario is more ideal. Or maybe it doesn’t matter at all…

I would ingest carbs in the morning then keep them moderate to low most of the day and then eat the bulk before working out.

If you had to pick one time to eat carbs I would do so within the 2-3 hours pre workout window

These would just be my personal approach.

I’ll echo what Paul wrote. I limit most of my carbs during the day, usually reserving them for a bit with breakfast, and then the majority before training. Unless I’m having a particularly high day, in that case, I’ll spread them out a bit more, but still keep a relatively large amount pre-training.

It’s not that carbs at night are bad, that’s not really the case. I simply try to place mine at times of the day where I’ll get the most benefit.
