Wow there’s definitely been a big super hero craze in Hollywood last few years.
Another carefully planned and probably Photoshopped pic? Someone call John Cena. We’re recasting immediately.
EDIT:

Cap is pretty big in the comics and his size and presence is part of what causes people to shut up when he talks and give him respect. Yeah, he could have been bigger seeing as “The Super Soldier Serum” is pretty much nothing but a comic book version of Super Steroids.
I would expect someone genetically engineered to be at the height of physical perfection to look more muscular than that…but hey, he did a decent job and at least they didn’t go for “Captain Abercrombie”.[/quote]
True, but I think what Vikings wrote about good acting is key. I think Chris Evans did a great job of displaying a “solider attitude”/commanding presence in Sunshine, and his acting chops combined with the muscle combined with the costume will do the job better than an actor who’s cast first and foremost for looking the part.
Also, I previously read that the film will also be showing him pre-serum as plain ol’ Steve Rogers, so maybe Evans pulled a C-Bale and dieted down more for that part and the before/after difference will be even more noticeable.

Actually, there has just been a huge MONEY craze. Hollywood will churn out whatever gets people in the seats…and let’s face it, before Batman Begins and the first Spiderman, I know I am not alone in saying I was pretty much done with actually going to a movie theater. These types of movies are the only thing that got me going back…and they know it.
Hollywood ran out of ideas about 15 years ago. That is why most of what is in movies is either remakes of classic horror movies and tv shows or comic book pictures where the story line has already been proven to be a hit before they touch it.
It isn’t the super heroes themselves. If Hollywood thought Strawberry Shortcake would get people in the seats, she would be on her 12th sequel by now.
his costume looks bad ass… the only thing im not totally sure how I feel about is the wings on the side of his helmet. I dont know if I like them painted on there or if they should be sticking off a bit? (nit picking I know… I think he looks bad ass though.)
I’m sure they tried both versions and decided that this one looked better though.
I stopped going to movie theatres regularly because:
-
tickets prices have skyrocketed $13 a ticket here. When I was in my mid teens you could get a ticket for under $10.
-
rise of the home theatre
