In this one instance the school is right. And I commend them for taking such a stand.

The administration, or IT department, has the authority to impose its will, and he has the right to contest it. He also has the right to complain about losing access to an educational tool.

Right, because we all know that teenagers are good little boys and girls who listen to their parents, and if parents tell them not to do or look at “naughty things” they’ll obey unconditional. It’s not like making something taboo might actually peak their curiosity and make them do these things anyway.
