Based on TC’s Blog. Apparently it’s true - free coffe for TC.
I had heard about this fish multiple times (I seem to remember it referenced in a movie as well), but did not know its name, nor the extent of its…capabilities.
Damn TC for making me read up on this. I’m not going swimming anywhere for a while, nor will I relieve myself in the pool at the Y ever again.
The best part in reading up on it was that a doctor/scientist/researcher made the mistake of holding it near a cut in his hand. It entered the cut, and could be seen writhing beneath the skin as it tried to locate a vein.

Makes me think of the helmet scene in The Wrath of Kahn. Oooo, or the tequila scene in Poltergeist 2.
