Can Watching Porn for Years F*ck Up Your Erections?

What is that book Watts? While I wouldn’t call myself an alcoholic I too have found that is an integrated part of my life. I rarely drink on the weekdays, unless it just a beer out to dinner, but the weekend I have not gone without for a long time. Rarely is it just a drink either, it is wanting to take it to a heavy buzz to drunk once 8PM rolls around and I know I have no where to go. It is taking a lot more to get there now, so I know it is time to greatly cut it out but having trouble doing so.

At the risk of having it criticized (though I did bring it up): Allen Carr - The Easy Way to Control Alcohol

I believe porn does affect arousal. Absolutely.

Girl on top is best position. And easiest for her to get off. … Missionary is fun, and intimate… you gotta do it right. Slowly. And grind your upper pubic area on their clit. That’s generally what gets them off in that position. No jackhammering. Get your rod in there deep and keep it there. Grind against her clit as mentioned above.

I know the title suggests it would, but this took a real NSFW turn

Yes, there are a few exceptions (Canberra being notable, it appears as if recreational cannabis will be legalised there within the next 12 months, Victoria may decriminalise or legalise recreational use within the next two years, a parliament hearing is currently underway regarding the issue)

What REALLY grinds my gears is new south whales and the coalition government’s stance on pill testing. At music festivals here (and with the youth here in general) illicit drugs remain a large burden, never have I ever seen such widespread use of MDMA anywhere else amongst youth aside from here. Regardless, in NSW sniffer dogs and policemen are set up along the entrances to these festivals, and police have been conducting unlawful, public strip searches amongst individuals of whom the dogs pick out (of whom are statistically inaccurate 70% of the time). These public strip searches are humiliating and degrading. The police presence is present within my state, however the sniffer dogs are absent. Unfortunately (and I know of a few individuals who have done this) the presence of police and dogs tends to unnerve people, and thus many will down everything that they have upon sight as they figure it’s better to risk than acquire a criminal record and ruin future job prospects, scholarships and such. Unfortunately this leads to a high rate of overdose, I saw my fair share of overdoses at the last music festival I went to (heavy metal/hardcore orientated) (I ended up in the ER after getting punched in the face and having my phone stolen… long story but I was bleeding profusely and there was reason to believe my nose was broken and without a ride home or avenue for communication with anyone, the brunt of the overdoses I witnessed were individuals coming into the ER shaking uncontrollably, freaking out, rapid heartbeat, partially responsive etc).

The problem with MDMA aside from potential neurotoxicity and cardio toxicity is the mere fact that the substance of which it is synehtised from comes from an endangered plant, thus the majority of MDMA on the market isn’t what it’s purported to be, rather it’s a substitiute or derivative, some of which are highly, HIGHLY toxic and lethal in low concentrations, couple that with a lack of regulation thus dosing and absorption rates of each pill differs overdoses are common. Booths have been proposed and trialled with success in Canberra testing these compounds to deter individuals from using extremely lethal substances, yet the government in power here is currently stamping out anything related to this cause, instead enforcing MORE dogs and police presence while death rates within young men continue to climb, Sydney has been outright shutting down the festivals (as they’ve been shutting down everything, they’re a joke, a nanny presence of which tries to police citizens for everything, I hate NSW)

I’ve never used MDMA, and wouldn’t due to the inherent risks associated with it’s use, however I do acknowledge people, especially kids, are going to ouse these substances regardless of law enforcement presence, punishment and harsh penalties aren’t deterring anyone, thus if they’re going to do it anyway, why not minimise the risk of… DEATH! And it isn’t condoning drug use (a prime argument against) it’s preventing highly preventable deaths of minors and young adults soo these individuals have the chance to live out a full and prosperous life rather than die from hyperthermia or cardiac dysrhythmia because some sniffer dog sniffed them so they downed everything they had, it’s common sense, yet the conservative government in power can’t seem to find reason or logic and continues to parrot outdated and proven inefficient ways of combatting these problems, it makes me so, SO angry that they’re somewhat allowing young people to die, I firmly believe they’re of the opinion “well if they’re using these substance they deserve to die due to their irresponsibility” I’ve actually had this opinion conveyed to me by an individual who himself was a heavy drinker. I’m not a confrontational individual but I spoke my mind when approached with this ideology.

I quit porn over a year ago, for two reasons. One was to potentially help with my ED, and two was because my girlfriend is against porn. I’m not going to debate that, it’s how she feels about it, and we have plenty of sex so I feel no need to watch porn anyways. I’d rather save my loads if we go a couple of days without, and watch her struggle to swallow a mouth full of my cum. Nothing better than that.

I feel that quitting porn has really helped me become more aroused to the real deal. I used to crave porn, and now I crave her immensely. IMO the increased arousal when with my partner has helped with my erections, but it’s hard to say for sure. I’ve been on many protocols, and even gone back to my natural state and there are just too many factors involved when it comes to getting hard.

Wasnt this the thinking behind Chile (or maybe it was Peru) decriminalizing ALL drugs. I believe it has been successful in decreasing ODs and the criminal aspect of it but its been a few years since I read up.

Well. I must chime - it’s my favorite topic. Lol.

Missionary , over 90% of the time she climaxes by her massaging her own clit while I bang her. So it’s not totally missionary towards the end as I have to sort of go on my knees and usually pick up 1 or both her legs.

Certainly, furthermore look at the Netherlands, low rates of drug addiction (and use, aside from “soft” drugs such as cannabis), low overdose death rates as addicts are able to enter care unjudged without fear of penalisation, very high happiness index, low incarceration and arrest rate

I’ve gotta go to sleep, these sexual descriptions have managed to fire up my engines, doesn’t take much to get me going these days.

Yes I remember reading about addicts actually being highly functional in society.

Sorry for the descriptions dude. I was trying to get that sexy point across LOL

I always wondered if American women are more open sexually to trying things over European women?

Or maybe I watch too many American teen movies

Very subjective. Not sure if you can generalize based on origin. Maybe though. But Ive been with all types from very conservative to VERY progressive.

My personal experience and research only, but I have found that you would be very surprised what a woman is actually down for.

They actually are more open than we are a lot of times. They of course have certain lines of individual and personal (to them) taboo that they aren’t willing to cross, but it’s a lot further than you would think.

I have found that women have been taught their whole life that being adventurous was “dirty”, and that having physical desires makes them a slut. You stated something earlier about “the right woman”, but I would argue, it’s more about the right man. If a woman can place full trust in you, and have a 100% open and honest “safe zone”, she will show you that side of herself.

She has to be totally comfortable, and sometimes it takes some doing to get her that comfortable with you.

Just my experience anyway.

I’ve found that consistently watching porn (once a day, probably 3-5 days a week), has made it harder to orgasm during sex. I’m very attracted to my girlfriend, and we’re both pretty adventurous with sex and have high sex drives, but if I’ve been watching porn I’ve found I need to imagine some scene or something during sex in order to get off.

I don’t like that and I don’t want that to be the case. I’m willing to say that I’ve been addicted to porn before - when I was 11-13 or so, hadn’t really been talked to about stuff by parents, and just slowly came across more and more stuff online. I was watching daily, and got to the point where if the urge came into my mind, I didn’t have the willpower to say no. I wasn’t even really enjoying it, and just felt like “well, that was pointless” after doing it.

Ended up getting caught by my mom, haha. Went a few years without watching, and have slowly been picking it back up every so often. It goes against my religious beliefs but I’ve lacked the desire to not do it. It started as much less often - 1-2 times a week, but has grown, and I can tell that it affects my sex with my girlfriend. So I typically don’t recommend it.

And, as some other poster mentioned, I do think it warps guys’ views of sex. Some girls like anal, rough sex, deepthroating, etc. All the stuff you see in porn. Lots of girls don’t. So, in that case, your expectations may be let down if your girl isn’t into that stuff, which is fine. I’d tell my younger brothers and future sons that sex is pretty awesome without having these high expectations from porn, so to abstain from it, which will be their choice, but I’ve seen nothing good from it.

It was the same for me. Sometimes not even being able to at all because the wife would get sore before I could or I would just give up.

It warped mine and looking back, when it was an issue for me there was no passion/intimacy during sex, I was just there to drop my load.

When I was in school (In America) I was taught the only way to avoid pregnancy was simply not have sex at all… I knew better (as I’d done my own research), however the abstinence only sex education model tends to peak teenage curiosity rather than dull it, hence perhaps relating to more adventurous individuals?

Furthermore this was the 9th grade… cmon… how stupid do they think we are?

Yes, but I think it even goes way beyond that. The entire culture in America is based on two very contradictory states…One view that is born from religious viewpoints and preaches abstinence from all taboos, and that anyone who has physical desires (even those that are completely natural, and we have those desires by design) is doomed to destruction and is therefore unclean.

And another state that demonstrates a “do as I say, not as I do” model.

You tell anyone that they are forbidden to do something, especially a hormone fueled teenager, and that’s as good as a guarantee that they will at least attempt it, and even more so if the very figures of authority making these demands do not even follow their own mandates. The curiosity of “why” is too great, and they are smart enough to know that they can only owe their very existence to the act that they are supposedly forbidden to do (in the case of sex).

This whole idea applies to much more than just sex as well, but since that is the topic at hand…lol

My boyfriend is porn addicted. I recently noticed that he is watching an amateur webcam sex video . At first, it offended me, but after that, I wanted to join the viewing with a continuation. Now I am thinking about how to do this the next time I catch him. Men, any advice?

Change boyfriend.
