Can Watching Porn for Years F*ck Up Your Erections?

Like for example, if u have watched porn for like 15 years every day and jerking off atleast once every day. Do you think this could make your erections weaker to the point they dont even get that hard to porn no more?

I know this is not a TRT question, but I dont know where to place it, as some of us with erection issues … this might be the problem?

I don’t think so.
Porn will desensitize you to natural love making. Meaning you might not get aroused. But once aroused you should get your normal erection.
Jacking off can(esp dry) desensitize you to not being able to climax during sex. Too slippery, pussy is too loose compared to your grip.

Yes. Porn fucks up your dopamine big time. Its a known mechanism.

Its a big difference if you jerk with porn or without porn.

Better stop for good.

Are you waking up with everything normal?

True!

Seems a lot of neglecting of a very simple logical mechanism…

Would like to respond in a detailed way regarding this, but my English is not that good.
Porn is good in many ways, but to much isn’t for sure!

is it? Enjoyable, maybe, but ‘good’?

Good is maybe not the right word to use, but good in turms of learning, relaxation, satisfaction.

There’s a hypothesis pornography can’t desensitise one to real life events and fuck up dopamine regulation (however I don’t buy the latter, currently we have very little data). I’ve end regularly watching porn for a while, makes it quicker to jerk off, however if I go 3-4 days without I can jerk off without visual stimuli. I hypothesie the reason I watch pornography so frequently is due to the fact I don’t have a sexual partner.

Granted there’s certainly a certain craving involved (not to watch porn, but to experience orgasm). I’ve thought numerous times about stopping (viewing pornography, I tend to watch amateur, couple made pornography as I find mainstream content to be on the rougher side, depicting sexual acts in which it is clear the female counterpart doesn’t enjoy the experience, and I dislike that.) but I see no reason to

One great thing about pornography is that’s it helps us explore new options regarding sexuality, find out what you like. Some dudes find out they’re into feet, BSDM or whatever through watching pornography, it opens up new sexual boundaries that can cater to individual needs and thus one can find out what they like.

I can guarantee you, if more couples were willing to be more adventurous in the bedroom, porn would be less watched.

I mean, if your gf is willing to let you anal her, deepthroat her, cum down her throat, have sex on different places, I can guarantee you, you would not need porn again.

My view anyways.

Yeah but the problem lies within whether the girl enjoys the act. Prostatic stimulation for men is immensely pleasurable… not… that… I… would… know… Women don’t have a prostate, and whilst during anal sex there still happens to be an abundant amount of nerve endings present for the female (and at the right angle indirect clitoral stimulation may be possible, the clitoris isn’t just that little dot at the top of the vageen, it’s far more complex than that, I was originally going to post a 3-D model (not particularly graphic) however I realise some may find such a diagram inappropriate (when I lived in America, the populace of the area in which I lived in had the most puritanical attitudes towards sex)

Furthermore activities such as deepthroat typically aren’t enjoyable for women provided said woman doesn’t have a submissive/BSDM or pain fetish, have you ever tried to force a large object down you’re throat, it’s not comfortable, if you don’t know how to suppress you’re gag reflex it can make you puke, and if done too roughly can cause injury and severe pain, thus the only rationale for the woman allowing BF to do this would be in attempt to please the BF or cater to his fantasies, in which case if she’s willing to do these things despite not enjoying said activities, I think it’d be only fair to reciprocate and indulge in one of her fantasies (whether the male likes it or not)

Should clarify I’m not homosexual (not that there’s anything wrong with homosexuality), just a very sexually open individual. That being said if I meet an attractive girl open to anal… I assume that’s gonna be a keeper for me, NO risk of pregnancy!

Each and every one to their own, personally I dislike watching aggressive deepthroat (however if the woman in the video does it on her own terms I’m fine, so long as there isn’t obvious struggling, gagging etc, otherwise it simply unsettles me and puts me out of the mood when seeing an individual in pain and distress.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this, I think I have to look it up now, I’m sure I’ll find it off-putting (no judgement to those who like that though)

To be fair I have never really been a fan of anal. No matter how clean the girl is. The reality is, its never as clean as represented on porn. Not even close. Pumping in a place where someone shits is not my cup of tea.

But, back to my point. I know a few friends of mine who actually cheated on their girlfriends. There reason was: because sex just became boring, there was no switching of things up. Their girls were not prepared to spice things up. Many girls always ask themselves: why do guys keep cheating on me? When you analyse their sex life, you actually find, its pretty boring. The girl is not willing to do anything but missionary style sex. Now dont get me wrong, I love my GF and have been with her for eight years. But, if we never did anything but missionary style sex, the relationship would quickly be over. Some girls I have spoke to are just not willing to spice things up and are the same girls that ask themselves: why do I get cheated on later on.

Sex for me is about fun and adventure. I am not interested in making a kid, so missionary style crap just gets boring for me fast. I am much more into oral etc.

The reason why I keep talking about guys is because guys are pretty much up for anything. The decision usually ends with what the girl is up for.

the anus itself is remarkable in it’s ability to self clean, the reason anal sex is represented as clean in pornography is due to the use of douches, these are practices a couple can use within real life, however it’s a bit of a hassle. I personally think if you’re partners willing to let you put it up there you should be open to the unfortunate possibility of being exposed faecal matter (and if this should occur, don’t be a dick about it, I’m sure the girl will be embarrassed enough). I think the reason I’m into… well this (despite having never had anal sex before) is due to the inherently taboo and highly intimate nature of the act, for a girl to let this happen is to demonstrate a high level of trust and connection, and for some reason that turns me on, maybe it’s the aspect of dominance (I’m not a bad person, I’d never force anyone to do anything they weren’t comfortable with), I’m unsure. I also firmly believe oral sex is considerably more intimate than the act of intercourse itself.

True though missionary style sex doesn’t give either partner much visual stimulation, nor is it particularly exotic, the notion of having to indulge in the same activity, same position, same space etc would have me bored rather quickly.

You’ve never been passionately kissing a woman while on top of only to have her lose track of where she is while she is cumming so hard her nails are pulling at your ass cheeks to go just a little deeper. THAT is missionary position. You want visual, watch your woman’s face in ecstasy as her vag pulsates as you drop a hot load into her. THAT is missionary. It is indeed my favorite position for these reasons among others. It is DEEPLY connecting to be face to face.

The only form of sexual intercourse I’ve had is in the form of brief, soulless hook-ups… and unfortunately it’s been more than a few years (started youuuuunnnnnggggg… probably too young now that I think of it)

Crippling societal rejection within my age demographic due to the fact that I think and act slightly differently compared too that of my peers makes it difficult to put myself out there. Much easier to do when I’m drunk… but I don’t drink so it’s a catch 22 (it’s poison, I use cannabis instead as my social inebriant of choice which is still terrible… but not QUITE as terrible)… oh and a little bit of heroin, but only a little bit ya know, heroin’s a gateway drug… a gateway to more heroin (quote taken from brothers grimsby)

Kidding about using heroin btw

Give it time and you will come to love and respect missionary but it takes the right woman. Ive been with my wife for over 24 years and its still our favorite. Dont get me wrong she likes to be bent over the bed or face in a pillow, ass in the air too. But sometimes deep connected kissing chest to chest is just what is needed.

Booze is poison, literally. I’m working on getting it out of my life completely. We’ve all been lied to about that shit.

Dam bro. You should write a erotic novel

I apologise if this is a personal question, however are you an alcoholic? You say you’re working on getting it out of you’re life, thus hinting you may have at some stage had a problem giving up the drink.

Personally, I see no issue with the occasional beer, if one wishes to get sloshed once in a while, that’s furthermore on them so long as they know the risks and potential health implications. I’ve been in some gnarly situations regarding alcohol (probably the worst being me having to drive some poor chap passed out and choking on his vomit…).

In Australia we have this issue with binge drinking culture, not only is getting BLACKOUT drunk (especially amnogst teenagers age 17-18) accepted, it’s encouraged, seen as a rite of passage of sorts. Now I detest unrealistic restrictions on these substances (for instance 21+ drinking age in America as I believe when something isn’t allowed it simply makes us want to indulge more for the taboo aspect), however the drinking laws here are very lax. It’s 18 to purchase, 16 if in a restaurant with an adult (though certain states have abolished this) and no age for private property so long as an adult guardian is present or parental consent is given, furthermore it is legal for an adult to supply a minor with liquor, yet I can get jail time for possession of over 10g cannabis in numerous states here. (2oz in my state though), furthermore we have these drug driving tests of which have a BAC limit as to what is legal, yet any trace of THC in one’s system (thus you can get booked a day, or even up to a week if you’re a stoner) after consuming cannabis, the tests are draconian and test for the presence of a trace of a substance rather than impairment while literature empiracally demonstrates a dramatically increased risk fo crash with a BAC of 0.03+ yet .05 is legal?

Seriously with the coalition now in power things have been going further backwards. SA recently made a bill (bill was denied) trying to jail individuals for any amount of cannabis possession. I’m not a stoner (actually that’s debatable, not a heavy user but I do like it and it doesn’t appear to affect my academic performance, mood or cognitive function), however the injustice and disparity between laws regarding a dangerous substance with a high level of acute toxicity and a mild intoxicant is mind boggling to me.

I wouldn’t say that I’m and alcoholic although definitions vary on exactly what that means so I may fall into one definition or more. I’ve just realized that alcohol has too much of an integrated part of my life and I want to get rid of it. I find it too easy to justify 3-4 drinks on any given night, most nights actually, and some nights/days more, especially on weekends. It’s how I was raised and really it’s how most people I know live their lives as well. It’s just part of the accepted culture and I’m quickly growing tired of it…at 47 mind you. I think the TRT has put me into a better mindset to work through these types of things and to work on letting it go. I gave it up for 3 months in the beginning of the year to see how I felt but quickly went back to old habits after the 90 days. BUT I always knew that I would. So I am working on reprogramming my brain to sift out all of the lies Ive been telling myself and have been told (learned) since I was a child…there are a lot of them.

I had heard a female comedian on a podcast discuss how she walked away from it after a life of drinking. She said it was one book that changed her direction. Im reading that book now.

Yes it does sound like you are VERY progressive with alcohol yet very regressive with marijuana while a lot of the rest of the world (maybe thats too broad) is moving in the opposite direction. Interesting indeed. It seems backwards.
