Calories on Rest Days

I hear theres 2 sides to this story.
1 being that you dont do as much activity so you dont need as much calories, especially carbs during rest day.
Side 2 being that your body and muscles are growing and need even more calories than training days (some just say the same as training day caloiries)
What are your thoughts and also what should we do during rest days? I know walking and swimming stretching yoga etc are options but do we HAVE to do some type of activity?

Either way works. Pick 1 method and stick with it.

All depends on your ACTN3 genes. Just go with what your body tells you. Of course, don’t confuse the voice of your body with that of your mind. The latter wants hot dogs and cotton candy–ignore it.
