I started to calculate how much will I burn calories when lifting.
The lifting part seems to be easy,
Energy = mgd, in Joules, multiply by .0041
to get kilocalories
where m = the weight in kg
g = earth’s gravity 9,81 m/s2
d = distance in metres.
How should I calculate the energy needed in
lowering the weight? The power needed is slightly less but how much?
