Caloric Restriction

I seem to repeatedly come across studies such as this one:

where restricting calories has a such positive effects on aging and quality of life indicators. How do those in the bodybuilding community deal with these facts and continue to stuff their faces with food at excessive levels?

Personally I think intermittent fasting may be a key tool for reaping the benefits of caloric restriction without the associated weight loss. Anyone else employ IF in their diet regiments?

One of the main reasons that a high-calorie diet leads to shorter life span is because of oxidisation of all those calories- free radicals.

Of course, most people on high calorie diets also consume too much sugar and bad fats which have health implications.

The lessons, I think, are to eat healthful foods, take your antioxidants, and not force feed yourself for years.
