Calling All Engineers/Food Lovers

I’m trying to create a make shift tandoor out of a bbq (propane).

For those of you who don’t know what a tandoor is it’s essentially an EXTREMELY hot earth/clay oven. It can approach 600C.

My plan is to get charcoal brickettes and create 5 “walls” of brickettes lashed together by wrapping them in foil. Once the topless “box” is created it is set on top of a grill and cracked up like a mother fucker.

The goal is create a shit load of radiant heat with no direct contact between the meat and the fire. So hot it will char the meat.

I want to refine this idea for maximum benefit…lets see what you got…
