Bush vs. Ahmadinejad

Well Ahmadinejad challanged Bush to a direct television debate a few days ago. Bush declined however, rather predictable.

But how do you think this clash of the religious fanatics would have gone?

Honestly, in my opinion and as much as it pains me to say this, Ahmadinejad would wipe the floor with him. Bush would come out swinging with the same old tired platitudes about terrorism and such–things that hardly qualify as real arguments regardless of how true they may or may not be–and Ahmadinejad, who, while crazy as crazy gets, is an intelligent man, would tear him apart.

I think Bush would take him in the octagon.

I don’t think there is any case in history of the leaders of two countries directly debating each other. Certainly not in a public forum. It was a dumb challenge from Ahmadinejad, but I would watch it if it did happen. Bush might not win with rehtoric, but I bet he could get Ahmadinejad to take a swing at him.

Bush is not a good debater, everybody knows that, including that nutjob in Iran.

Duh

Of course he wants to debate him. It would be like the Steelers challenging the local community college to a game.

It is sad that this guy is the leader of our country, and that the above is true.

The Iranian fella is a lot smarter than people think he is. He knows how to push buttons, and he’s quick. Reminds me of Castro a little.

I would like to see it, just so I could tell what the guy is about without the inevitable media bias.

IMO, I don’t think a political debate is necessarily the best way to see what a guy is really all about; nevertheless, I wouldn’t mind seeing the spectacle of it all–though I imagine it would be quite embarrassing for the American people.

Some of you give Ahmadinejad way too much credit. He isn’t clever. He isn’t quick.

It’s easy to push buttons when you don’t have a shred of credibility and don’t care if you look like a kook. Steveo and HH do it to you same goofballs nearly everyday.

I agree. I read his crazy ramblimg letter to Bush. The guy is not rational. He seems like Charlie Manson crazy. I am not impressed by lunatic ravings. I do not mistake them as a mark of intelligence.

Besides, if Ahamibijadass, or whatever the hell his name is gets too far behind, he would probably just take Bush hostage.

He has a history of taking hostages, you know.

It’s hard to get a clear idea. Where is the line between crazy lunatic rantings and appealing to his conservative base? Some of his more “out there” speaches may have been meant for domestic consumption. I’m not foolish enough to claim more than a superficial understanding of the Iranian domestic political landscape. There are some clever people over there though, whether he is one or not.

If this debate were to take place, it would be the Western downfall. Bush doesn?t even want to acknowledge this man as a human being, much less debate with him. This might happen with our next president if he, or she, is a democrat. It would be sweet to see him at 5?1 standing next to Bush though?

He probably helped to take out three Kurds in Vienna too, and by helping I mean did the job himself or drive the escap car.

This guy is crazy but not armchair crazy…

So why didn’t Bush take him up on it then?

So that’s why you provided the links, in another thread, showing the liberal bias of the MSM. Its because I lack credibility. I get it now…thanks, Doogie!

If you think refusing to debate a lunatic who wants all the Israelis moved to Alaska, who calls us Satan, whom the world regards as a madman somehow puts the onus on Bush, you are one crazy sumbitch. I’m shocked that no one here ripped you a new one on this. Your hatred of Bush is so blinding, you actually seem to think a madman is worthy of televised debate?

I’ve never said this to anyone before but you need to jump in front of a train or something. You are one seriously fucked up motherfucker.

Headhunter

Refusing to debate lunatics.

Hmmm, now there’s a thought.

What’s more worrysome is that most of the posters here think your precious leader wouldn’t stand a chance debating this raving madman.

Debate what?

What exactly would they be batting around? Whether or not the Holocaust exists? Tax cuts? Whether Notre Dame should be ranked #2?

The Iranian leader is off his rocker, but I do believe one thing would definitely occur if there were a debate - legions of Lefty bobbleheads would love every word that came out of the Iranian fascist’s mouth, exposing more about them than him.

Lefty bobbleheads…
I’m stealing that phrase if you don’t mind, thunder.

What point would a debate even serve? Iran is an islamo-fascist state. They should be a parking lot along with Syria.
