First early bird day at new 24 hour fitness, and ti was NICE! No one there! And not freezing cold! I made a good choice. BB emailed me asking if I’d like to talk it over with them, but nah!I have enough stuff to use at new 24 hour place.

leg press–I know! baby steps for my back, this leg press was similar to a hotel gym one but that’s all I can handle seriously for my spine- 2 sets of a minute of pressin. I set it for 90# then 110

flipped the stuffed animal tire ( 175#), then the 225# one for whatever , maybe 100 feet, push their “tank” prowler type device
self propelled treadmill x 5 mins
glute stuff

Hip circle is starting to work, I’ve been using it for warm ups and it almost makes me sweat which I rarely do! good sign.

I was visited by someone’s good heart yesterday. I lost my wallet! In the Costco parking lot!!! But someone found it and returned it without anything missing!!! Thank you kind person, it really made me feel lucky! I will play that forward x 1,000.

Today- a new thing. Timed carries!!

t bar carry 187# x 5 minutes total of 18 trips of 45 feet or so- with drops of course. I did the first 12 trips with turns before having to set it down
hussafel (140#) x 5 minutes, total of 10 50 feet trips - reset after each 50 feet
stone loads x 5 minutes 108# total of 30 loads
t bar carry 187# x 2.5 minutes- got 10 trips with drops
hussafel (140#) x 2 minutes did 100 feet no drop, then 2 more trips x 50 feet

I fell GREAT! The lighter wt carries are a much needed switch up. I have became afraid of my knee blowing out on me–the lighter stuff is a much needed change and also a challenge!

Longer distances! I am not sure how my body will react to this, however right now I feel energized and MOST spiffy!!!

Energized and spiffy is good. My friend who is a pro strongman often throws in carry medleys, yoke, to hussafel, to sandbag, etc…

I am working on myself a ton. One thing I want to do is share more and try and help people I can. A work friend mentioned some misc issues she’d had for motivation for training.

A lot of other details she mentioned that made me think of mentioning to to start a training log, online. I told her how much its helped me–motivation, tons of tips, for tons of support, for meeting super people online and in real life. I hope she does it! If she does I’ll let her decide if she wants to tel who sent her this way!

timed stuff- carry husafel x 50 feet run 50 feet carry 150# sandbag x 50 feet run and carry farmer’s handles’s (80#) x 50 feet/arm
did this three times for time, all around a minute. I could run much faster next time
stone loads 108# x 5, 130# x5, 167#- tacky towel- x 7 total
did an amrap of 130# and on rep 12 it broke ! SHIT!

Sucks!!! I was JUST getting used to that stone’s shape :{ I left a note, I emailed the gym owner in my mortification asking if I can pay for it! I had a good 3 more reps in me too :{

Of course today was a day I did not lift in an empty gym.

See if they will replace it with a “stone of steel”. Pretty much everywhere I’ve seen concrete stones made their own with a mold.

What’s inside the stone? It looks like powder… white powder. Seems suspicious to me.

HA!!! Thanks Chicken! I wish! It was only the 130# stone!! I don’t think I’ll forget that experience…of suddenly working with a piece of equipment that disappears!!!

Scotto!! They DO have a stone of steel, but its locked up in a box with a combination lock on it. I imagine only a few people are allowed to use it. There are a handful of sponsored strongman who work out at that gym so it might be their own as well, I am not sure. I’d be interested in trying that non the less.

That would involve me having to go to train with the other strongman when they do their team sessions which isn’t for me -I prefer to train alone. The owner did get back to me with a reply of " eh ,ok, stuff happens" . Cool.

O!!! HA!!! Maybe you’ve cracked the case on the secret atlas stone drug cartel … Alas this one’s center is Styrofoam. Like a kids school project foam ball with cement covering it.

Its been a god month at least with my newer food stuff and my wt has stayed at 168 which is up 4ish pounds from 2017 but staying there. I am working on modifying my behavior --its come a LONNNNNG WAY. It won’t ever be normal but its going well. Here’s to it staying that way.
