Today wt’d vest walk 7.5ish miles in a blustery golden fall day!!! ugh…these days make miss my Beautiful Mossimo so much. I do talk to my Mossimo everyday–I’m one of those people!–and believe it or not it helps a ton. Still giving me love, joy, and peace from heaven and all, that dog!!!

I could NOT lift that tbar for any thing today! I tried initially 364-nope, 354- nope, 344- nope! Not sure my deal but whatever. I do feel drain-- stupid coworker leaking my life force stuff, as well as probably lifting related and odd diet this week. I’ll rest up next week on my luxury 5 day weekend one week from tomorrow!!!

I slept in this morning and it made a world of difference. I needed it for sure. I thought I;d give lifting after wok a shot since it was a slow day. It went ok I guess. This program I’m doing for now is manageable for it.

Then I just worked on technique for the log clean and press, a video below. I did a bunch of mock ups, its a movement I need to really drill, the hip extension especially! The most I cleaned was the big log which I am not sure the wt, maybe 90#

Tried some duck walks with kegs too.
50# x 100 feet, 75# x 100 feet, 100# x 50 feet x 2 trips, 125# x 50 feet x 2 trips.

OH MY GOD. On my walk today in one of my favorite spots to walk, a dog suddenly ran into the road all confused. She had that “suddenly loose dog” face look wher she jsut wanted to trust someone to tell her where to go.

I called her over to me so she’d get out of traffic and she came gratefully trotting over. In the split seconds it happened I thought these things 1) she’s adorable, 2) do I suddenly have a dog again?? 3) I AM SO HAPPY!!! Pure, real happiness!

I didn’t have a leash with me and she spooked again and ran back into the street when her family finally figured out she was gone and called her. She took off, barreled over her owner in happiness when she found him. This all took about a minute and a half.

I burst into tears and cry, then smile and laugh because at least I know my answer: I will get another baby (dog). And I am giving myself a timeline- I will wait until at least May, take stock again and think hard… Then all bets are off!!!

Not long after I was surrounded by a herd of dead lifting guys who regularly dead lift in front of the squat racks at bb gym. I truly was cornered in my area having to climb over gym bags and misc man sprawl. UGH.

Plan on 10 sets of 16 push ups today, so far I’ve done 4. I did get a set of 30 yesterday which I was pleased with.

Its my Birthday, I’m having a rough one :{ I feel like a darkness wave is coming over me, a bit of a depression spell. I knew it’d hit but it was a surprise.

UGH. I have a lot to be thankful for but I’d be lying to myself if I didn’t admit that I feel a bit flat and empty and lost. It’ll pass, whatever the cause is. It won’t be forever! Part of being a human :{

What kind of diet/suplements are you taking?

Thanks trtoldman! I take ZMA, fish oil ( flameout) and just started daily collagen this week!

The daily workouts might contribute but really the are not much. They are part of my personal home grown help. Walks especially clear the head and sooth the soul, and wear me out.

A Tired Brute is a better Brute when I’m flipped out over things emotionally.

Some things I am going to consider- hips and whole pelvic region. My Hips have been feeling vulnerable since my injury. I have now determined that injury is a hamstring tear due to the noise it made when it first happened and how long its taking to get back to normal.

Apparently they are super common -hamstring tears, and typically don’t require surgery. They do however mean I am more prone to re injury. They are caused by a bunch of stuff one being fatigue of the muscle and also muscle imbalances. I knew it was more then a strain! BLEH!!!

My hammies USED to be quite strong and pretty but not anymore since I am no longer dead lifting low wt high volume as much as I used to. And my butt is pretty sleepy on lifts. I have have some work to do to fix this.

I think for one the touch an go dl’s are helping wake up my lil hammies but I also am doing full on instagram glute bridges in my house as well!!
