Alright, something to log about.

this week was very busy at work. I had a sight schedule change, then for the last three days or so. Long story short I got called in to help at 1am to work the last two day so not a week for lifting really. All I managed was not being a total zombie. Just very busy at ER.

I did try sunday after work which was what I expected, not much at all. I was too tired and it was too hot in that body builder gym

My way around being irritated with the bodybuilder gym is going way early in the morning. Without the people it’s a great place! I’m glad they open at 4am mon-fri, wish they did it on the weekends too…

Never finished the whole 10 sets, got to 7 or so and I was totally exhausted. Took a few hours to nap then headed to work. NO lifting yesterday but I felt really like I needed rest.

I was sore a bit and tired from thursday! So that;s good–sore lats. Kinda clunky workouts on super hot summer days when I gotta get up at 5 to get Moss out and walked before it’s too hot. I had about four hours sleep but it went alright.

Thinking of you the other day. My cousin and sister brought home a 2ish year old Spaniel/something mix last week. I think a bit of Beagle in there also; beautiful dog. Some trust/nervous issues, but she’s already warming up to them (and the cats!).
She is everything I would want to be, as a 40lbs short hair mix! Strong, muscular, moves great; a great agility dog for sure. She’s a rescue from…I can’t recall, but has taken ownership of the humans, and all the cats. Very protective, but not aggressive or un-trustworthy towards other things.
Except ceiling fans. She does not like ceiling fans.

Anyway, someday I’ll figure out how to post pics, of dogs, drum sets and the like. Just wanted to pass along some news from the animal/people world.

Hope all is well, is there a “Strong women log press bar 2000” strapped to your car yet…since we’re talking pictures!?!

AWWW!! Eric!! You DO love those Beagles (or kinda Beagles) huh? :slight_smile: Dogs are just such wonderful companions and life partners!!! I hope the new addition to your buddies household settles in well!

They make us better people when we really are focused on being good owners. I hope you and your dog soulmate find each other when the time is right. Mossimo is such a gift, and actually helped prevent me from making some silly choices over the weekend, just thinking “What would Mossimo think of me if I did this?!!” And I promptly vered away from some kinda foolish choices.

Thanks Eric! I do well with wave training for squats. Its helped in the past -for me at least- to get back in the groove
And it was 3:45! Up early and have the place to mahself! The person who opens the gym opens it up before 4am I’ve discovered. YESSSSS!!!

Wednesday after work I did pull ups, they were hard but nice form since it was a 1am to 12p work day . I did a total of 80. The first 50 were sets of 5 over 15 minutes, which is fast for me.

mixed some shrugs in there with the loading and unloading of all the wt’s and bars into my car.

The heavier tbar walks have made my pecs perk up a bit–as in I am getting lil chesties. Anyone who reads my logs knows that I don’t ever do any strictly upper body stuff, no focused work since I spoil myself rotten and only really do what I want if I am truthful. The walks are just wonderful for everything!! They have tons of versatility.

A day to feel thankful for all I have! I got a new couch too!

And, you carried heavy stuff for nearly 1/2 a mile. And don’t get me started on the Bent rows, OHP, Fronts and Zerkers, clean grip lunges. I know, lots of ‘indirect work’, but dang Brute!

btw- nice couch. I love the blur-of-the-tail in that picture. Just biding his time, waiting to try the knew couch!
