Also kinda figured out how to actually get the log press up. After watching a fb friends video I realized I missed the step between. I never thought to pull then stop at the legs, kinda scoop it up to a clean position so I get push press it up. It was exciting to actually do this. No idea what the log wt is. Its also the first push press type movement I’d done without any back pain issue since … a year?

Supposed to be 95 plus degrees today, so a bit of a change was called for. Got Mossimo out and walked our long walk ( about 4.5 miles) done and over before 7am so we don’t each get horrible heat stroke and die miserable deaths! HEAT STROKE IN DOGS IS NO JOKE!!! Protect your animals!!

We did get to see some pretty sweet mist though rolling over the clear creek freaking rapids we walk by. Tons of water.

Pretty pleased with my grip strength for the carries! Took forever but I got it! Small lil thing, but cool for me!

It’s been hopping at work for the last few weeks-- busy summer time with emergencies. HEAT STROKE, yes, but other just pretty sad and heart breaking things. It does add up on vet staff! It used to be easier when I didn’t have my own dog, but now you just put yourself in the people’s shoes with horrible choices to make or their beloved pets in serious danger of losing their lives, and it’s just shitty and harrowing. Need a break sometimes!!

I took a day off my second job yesterday and it was well spent by reading and just hanging out with Moss in the cool ac. Hug your animals! Leash you animals! Vaccinate your animals!! And get pet insurance!!!

DANG! Not sure if its a combo of yesterday’s and today’s but pretty much instant soreness from these dudes!

I’ll be limping tomorrow! Nothing bad, just IOMS ( INSTANT ONSET MUSCLE SORENESS!!!) I’ll Be picking up my feet up to walk with my butt basically, quads’ being sore and not very quick on the uptake!

Doing pull ups now.

HA! Thanks Eric but it was no big deal! Seriously maybe a total of 7 log presses ever done in my entire life! I wonder if I’ll get the itch for them and do them more…chances might be slim if it means I am chained to have to do them at the body builder gym. However if they sell logs online cheap…and I can fit it in my car… that’s a whole other deal.

But thanks! Its nice to have the bite of the lifting bug back a bit. but of course…

Work calls again so up way early yesterday at 1am answering a frantic call to go help out the ER. So no lifting yesterday. In the past this would totally devastate my mood in angsty lifter rage, now, I dunno, my job is making me feel pretty fulfilled lately. Like I’m getting good at it :wink: And that I am appreciated.
