New Log.
RE-INTRO: My name is Brute. I’m an ER/ICU veterinary technician, dork, and generally good natured weirdo. I live in Denver, CO USA and 30 years old. 5’8" plus a few centimeters right now wt’s is 167. I typically float around plus or minus some pounds.

Today was SSB squats :slight_smile:

I think the bar itself is 60# so the wt of it IS included with the totals.
150x5, 170x4, 190x4, 200x4, 210x3, 220x2, 225x2, 230, 240, 250
225x3, 215x3 failed on a 4th, 190x5, 170x10, 150x15

glute activation with some crazy ass 80’s leg wt’s too!!! HA !! :smiley:

I just kinda rambled today. I really am liking that ssb for my squats. I know its not the same, a completely different dynamic to regular back squats but I like it! I am a convert!!

I have dreams…dreams of adding wt every weak and getting a beefy max on that thing. The 250 i got today was a biter too :smiley: I will share a vid. Depth isn’t perfect but I’m still proud.

ALSO since the PAN American Bench champs is in town this weekend, my turbo gym has a LOT of space where the benches and stuff have been moved.

Looks SO much better with out those eye-sore benches. :slight_smile:

fronties 145, 165x2, 185x2,200, 210, 220 PR FINALLY FOR FUCK’S SAKE :slight_smile: BUT MY CAMERA STOPPED FILMING AT 6 SECONDS. DAMMIT.
FAIL at 225. OH WELL :smiley:
then 185x5 x 2 sets, 85 x3 then I was done.

After the last few days I’ve had, I needed that PR. Even though its been…oh,… 2 years to get 5 pounds onto my old pr, its still a PR :smiley: I am pleased. I really needed that today.

here’s my POWER SHRUG. They…seem suspect to me. I don’t like shrugs to begin with … because I guess I don’t believe in them. I have no evidence of this so there you go.

I think your shrugs look fine based on what I think they are.

Thanks for checkin the shrugs too. I just don’t see the point of shrugs I guess. Sure traps…but I feel like they are kinda like doing calve raises. Maybe next week when they are heavier it’ll be different but I doubt it. I’ll just do more ass in them since I still don’t do stiff legged anything.
