Bruno The Movie

ya i’ll definitely see it, i thought borat was good

For the record, I didnt take a family, there were familes there…

Borat, other then a few scenes and anything involving the bear, just seemed to be one joke over and over again… the social commentary you got out of it made it funny enough I own it (only watched it twice since I bought it)… Honestly though, I dont see how Bruno wont be 1.5 hours of the same joke…

Maybe I am wrong… if someone sees it and wants to post their thoughts it would help me decide if it is worth seeing or not… however, this year so far, all the really hyped up movies have let me down… and I dont expect this to be much different…

I was reading some reviews on Bruno and a lot of people are hating on it. They are complaining about too much male nudity and that it is a gay porno. I’ll still go see it knowing i will see some dongs.

I watched it this afternoon…I laughed…I cringed…vomited…laughed some more…went home…got drunk to deal with my tortured soul…lol.

There is a special place in hell for Sacha Cohen…I’m surprised he hasn’t been killed yet.

Oh…and this movie definitely deserved NC-17.This is the first movie that I truly felt uncomfortable with young kids in the theater. I never understand why parents bring their kids to these movies.

two thumbs down.

Haha, i saw it earlier tonight. Didn’t see any young kids in there thank god because i would be uncomfortable watching this with my parents. I love how he exploits certain people. That whole scene in the beginning was pretty nasty, but also pretty damn funny.

Is alabama really that crazy? They have gay converters?

I defintely recommend you NOT watch it with the boys and to find a female friend to go with. (And not like a casual female friend either, shes got to be real sister like) It was really funny and I liked it but at the same time it was the closest ever for me to watching a gay porn.

I’ve no idea why you guys think that Bruno is a “gay movie” - there are some male nudity scenes - who cares? But that’s exactly the point of the movie … many Americans seem to be/are homophob!

I have to disagree.

From the snippets I have seen most Americans seem to be incredibly polite and if they do not know how to handle him it only gets awkward.

I think in the more “tolerant” European countries he could not hide behind being a flamer and would have his ass kicked like any other dude who gets too annoying.

And could anyone please tell me what “as queer as the blazes” is supposed to mean?

There was an 8 year old kid sitting across the aisle from my friend and me. I only saw him after they turned the lights back on. It made everything incredibly awkward.

Incredibly polite? The scene with “Straight Dave” almost started a riot - something like that would NEVER EVER happen in Austria - you should really go and see the movie. I also don’t think that there are any “Gay Converters” in Austria.

That “Straight Dave” scene was so crazy. That must have been a real hick city from Alabama they were in.

I thought Bruno relied on shock value far too much. A few things made me laugh, but on the whole, not very funny.

Man, am I the only one who thought that movie was extremely funny? I was laughing my ass off nearly the entire movie!

That CBS audition tape was pure gold.

You are not alone. Me and an audience full of entertained people also agree with you.
