I was wondering if anyone knew the procedure for measuring the broad jump. It sounds pretty easy, but is the measurement taken from the starting line to the toes or the heels. I would think that it would be the toes since that's where you jumped from, but my friend tells me that the measurement is taken at the heels. any input would be appreciated.

From toes to heel. If you drop your arm backwards then it would be your arm as thats the cloest ‘thing’ to the line that your toes took off from. Otherwise you could just jump out, land on your ass and stick your feet and toes out forwards…
