Brick Run

My wrestling coach has started us doing "brick runs" we grab 2 brick (I estimate at about 3-5 lbs) and then we basically run 2 miles, making sure to never drop them. I've found the best way to do it is hold them like a football. Back to the point, what is your guys take on this grueling workout?

Sounds like he might be trying to increase your endurance in terms of the "wrestlers grip" If you wrestle fo9lk style other than that Idk .

We do something similar for pt. It might be a brick or a sandbag, but you form up in a single column and pass it back. When it gets to the last person, they sprint to the front and start it over. Usually we cover 2-4 miles. Pretty good stuff.
