Break it Down for Me

No, in all seriousness, break it down for me.

Break down why conservative politicians have been following a platform on non conservative policies, including centralizing federal power and foreign intervention.

Break down why liberal politicians promised this and that if elected and when elected the majority in congress they didn’t do a fucking thing except sit in the back seat for the ride.

Break down why these republicrat criminals are voted into office year after year after year after year. Stealing trillions of your dollars, intervening in foreign affairs leading to anti-american sentiment and ultimately terrorist attacks against the US, stalling year after year on minimum wage, dragging feet on illegal immigration, refusing to impose term limits on congressional office, stifling 3rd party involvement, leading an epically failing war on drugs which has turned the “land of the free” into the world’s leading jailer, etc etc etc.

I mean, you guys must have this all figured out because all I see is how great McCain and the republicans are, or how great Obama and the democrats are. Please, explain to me what the fuck I’m missing, because it’s hard to see through all this BULLSHIT.

Everyone in this country deserves the abysmal fucking government and state of affairs it’s received.

You’re a fucking idiot. No one is going to spoon feed the little baby.

Try this…READ. There are plenty of posts that will give you the answers you seek but will not understand.

There have been exactly zero conservatives here that I’ve seen including me who have any enthusiasm at all for Mccain, beyond his being the only barrier to the most catastrophically devastating chapter in American political history with the unholy trinity of Pelosi, Reid and Obama at the helm.

A very wise man once said that in a free society the people get the government they deserve. Everyone in this country DOES NOT deserve any better than this. They have been voting these America hating leftist destroyers into office since the 60’s and now we are left with a marxist and a neo socialist to choose from.

Yes, educate yourself, it’s not our responsibility.

This does not seem to identify any difference in democrat or republican spending. There is no difference, it’s a myth and one the powers that be use effectively to keep the two sides fighting against eachother and not focusing thier anger towards them. Seriously, the people of the US are really really fucking stupid.

I didn’t really want you to ‘explain’ anything you fucking dense retard. I read plenty, I was just pointing out how tired and worthless all the arguing back and forth of which candidate is better, the kettle or the pot.

You did a rather poor job at it too.

Why would you favor term limits? They are undemocratic and would result in a government of limited experience that has less incentive to be responsive to the public.

Term limits do not solve the problem of a political process that puts poor leadership into elected office. Term limits will only protect and reinforce what is wrong with politics in America.

I’ve heard a few people say that the candidates are the same, it’s worthless to argue, etc. and I think it’s bullshit every time.

If Gore had been president these last eight years, or Kerry, the country would be invariably different. I’m not saying better or worse, mind you, but it would be very different.

Basically both side have about a 30% base and they try to attract the middle. My view is that middle is slightly conservative. Generally people resist change -they fear the unknown.

Now the fear is large enough to make people desire change. Low paying jobs, frozen credit markets and until recently escalating fuel prices-some body will have to answer for this.

Sometimes the coalitions make strange bed fellows. Look for where the money comes -you may be surprised.

The U.S. is still a great country-visit a couple of third world spots and you will get a different perspective.

Our system is still the best - we will come out of this stronger than before. The great depression, 911 - we all ways come out stronger.

That you fail to understand the sometimes (not always) subtle difference between the two candidates is somewhat disappointing.

A few not so sublte difference: noboma will raise taxes McCain will not.

noboma will sit down and negotiate with dictators without preconditions, McCain will not.

noboma will nationalize health care, McCain will not.

There are many other differences between the two. I know it’s easy to group them together but that’s the lazy ignorant mans way…and that’s not you is it?

Dude seriously, did you look at my chart? It doesn’t really matter who raises taxes, they all spend more than the last and we already cannot pay for all the spending with the current tax load, thus a national defecit. So if Mcain doesn’t raise taxes big whip dee do. It just means we go further into debt, the dollar crashes even harder as other countries continue to back out of it, and your dollar buys less than it did before. I think that is equivalent to a tax.

People really need to stop thinking about dollars in a pure how many i have sense. And also consider the value of a single one. Would you care if you only made 15,000 per year if it meant the 15,000 would buy you a house and a car and a food supply for a year up front? How about if you made a million dollars a year, but couldn’t afford a house or a car and had to scrape by week to week just to put food on the table. Does that sound good?

The more money the fed prints, and the more debt we get into as a country, the lower the value of the dollar will go.

i actually think your question is honest and shouldn’t be ridiculed. you sound like a person who seeks the truth. the people telling you that you are stupid are the ones being spoon fed THEIR information. you can tell because the responses are simply them regurgitating what some partisan political pundit says on tv. obama will raise taxes? mccain will lower taxes? thats not what im getting from the debates. and thats what im going to base my decision on; what the candidates say. not what bill oreilly or keith olberman or some asshole on a forum says.

the sad reality is that we aren’t given the information we need to make an informed decision. what you really need to do is REMEMBER what the candiates are promising and hold them to it. this is not a very popular thing to do in our country. we have lemmings who pick a side and defend that side under any and all conditions. lets put it this way. if obama came up to the podium, shit in his hand, and threw it into the audience, most liberal democrats would find some way to justify it. same with conservative republicans.

obama looks like he has this wrapped up. im pretty sure he will win. lets take for example how he says he will lower taxes for anyone making under $250,000. I am a CPA and prepare taxes for a living. Its VERY simple for me to monitor that promise. it will be funny to see if he doesnt come through on his promise how the people that voted for him will simply choose to ignore it. and they will. god forbid they disagree with anything the politician they voted for does in office.

i am literally writing down what obama promises and will monitor him through the next four years. then i can make an unbiased evaluation of him. thats pretty much all we can do.

and voting? im not gonna vote in any election until the media starts giving me information that i can work with. and yeah i know you can call me unamerican for saying that but i can also tell you to blow me.

I’ll only do that if I can bring a badger, a bowling ball, 7 cups of iced tea, a palm tree and a snorkel.
