Break From TRT

I have been having some issues with above range hematocrit and hemoglobin and have decided to take a break from trt and see what levels come up.

I am having what could be polycythemic issues and from what I read, a break can rectify the situation.

My question is how long would it take for me to know that I am pretty much functioning on my own hormones and my levels will pretty much stay there without trt?

I have been on 120mg cyp/wk for let’s just say a year. I went to 5 mg androgel only on the 1st of Jan and stopped all trt yesterday.

I started hcg on the 17th, 500iu 2 days and 250iu/eod.

If anyone can give me a ball park figure I would appreciate it.

And any info on what to expect from the hcg, as it is my first time, would be appreciated.

I’m assuming a month would should suffice but that is an uneducated guess.

Thanks in advance.

Did that. You can only give blood every 54 days. [/quote]

That is not the case. I am polycythemic and have blood removed bi-weekly.

I’m assuming that you have been through the process and have been diagnosed and scripted to give blood by a hematologist.

I’m in the middle of that process and am seeing the MD again in 3 weeks. He suggested a break and I had been thinking about it so I took the plunge.

As I am going through a bad time for whatever reason, WTF.

It’s not like I’m feeling great and this might make me feel like crap.

Thanks,
