And if she were a hot chick, I would be more inclined to agree, but she was an old troll. The problem is the charge. This was a 2nd degree murder, not 1st. And usually prosecutors will allow lesser charges to be considered if presented with the original charge, but this one didnât until the end of the case before deliberations to which the judge then denied the request. So the only charge the jury could consider was 1st degree murder, which is was not. It was murder, but she didnât lure the guy into the office with the intention of killing him.
She got pissed off at the guy for not paying and resisting her authority so she shot him out of spite in the moment. Thatâs technically 2nd degree murder. Had the prosecution brought in the possibility of lesser charges from the get go, they could have at least got her for 1st degree manslaughter. But since murder 1 was the only charge, and thatâs not what happened, she got away with murder.
It wasnât a jury mistake, it was a prosecutorial overreach. They thought the video was a slam dunk, and it was for murder 2 or at least manslaughter. It wasnât murder 1 and that was the problem, because no other considerations were possible.
