Bold Predictions, Election Results:

I figured I’d start the thread were people can post views and results and make their own predictions.

My bold prediction is that all the Gay Marriage amendments will fail. My reasoning is that they have in every place where it’s been proposed.

My other is that the Marijuana legalization will fail. Despite a growing warming to the ending of it’s prohibition, I think there are just to many people scared to actually pull the trigger and let it be. This is again based on precedent.

Now, of the two, Marijuana will be a lot closer to passing than Gay Marriage.

I agree I voted against marijuana as a revenge vote because the stunads who want it voted to close the race tracks amd put thousands out of work here and killed a bunch of dogs

Pot and Gay Marriage are up in the polling in Washington, although Pat is right that voters historically have a tougher time pulling the lever for them than they do answering “yes” in the polls. These measures should be very close, but the pro-pot movement has flooded television with ads with endorsements from former cops, judges and federal prosecutors saying a vote yes would help schools and hurt gangs and criminal organizations and that the drug war is a massive failure. Also, the pro gay marriage ads have been heavy and I haven’t really seen any opposition ads. I’m thinking both are going to slide through.

NYT’s Jack Healey says Repubs have edged out the Dems in early voting in CO based on a release from the Sec. of State.

Colorado for Romney.

Legalizing pot was a mess in California, the moment the state tried to regulate it, the pot lobby bought off every politician who opposed them.

Also, you had a SHIT TON of pot dispensaries open everywhere, to the point where the Feds starting raiding them since the state was inept.

She needs to pass out the “Do You Smell What Barack Is Cooking!” shirts.

There were gay marriage licenses issued and a big weed smoke out under the Space Needle today in Seattle. Sounds like a good time was had by all.

The best part was, the law stated that it had to be smoked indoors.
