Yesterday, I did 15 minutes of alternating between 3 quick reps of push-ups and bodyweight squats–no rest. It got the blood flowing a bit but didn’t feel fatiguing like aerobics. I figured if I wanted to get more muscle groups involved I could work in some super-light DB swings. Is doing this a couple times per week a good way to assist recovery or is it pushing overtraining?
It’s an excellent way to speed recovery. Everyone from Tate to Davies seems to agree that proper GPP can be very beneficial.
