I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out here. I remember a while back I read an article on T-mag (might have been by Poliquin) which showed the conversion from body weight to max rep weight. Such as (this is hypothetical) say a person weighs a 150 lbs. their 1 rep max in the bench press would be 245 lbs. If anybody can point me to the article or knows the conversion it’d be helpful thanks.
Well, let’s look at it this way: I lift with a guy that weighs 181lbs and can bench 500+, yet I weigh 225 and can get 315 or so on a good day. Basically, who cares what the chart says…get yourself stronger.
that’s insane, a 181 pounder benching that much. That’s cool as hell.
