Blood tests

I’m a 40 year old male and I’ve started a “Manly Weight Loss” program in order to lose a bunch of fat. I do mean a bunch, like 100lbs. I’ve got a regularly scheduled doctor’s appointment in a few days and I want to persuade him to perform some blood tests to better evaluate my condition and training prospects. (We did the regular blood work/cholesterol tests a year ago and even threw in a stress test before I got started doing aerobics last summer.) Now that my program includes weight training and I’ve started reading T-Mag for a while, I’ve learned quite a few things. I’ve decided it would be worth knowing my levels of testosterone, estrogen, cortisol and homocysteine levels. Does that make sense? Is this too much information? Is there anything else I should have tested? Thanks.
