no, not even close.
im sorry but while i can see a similarity its still completely different.
coldplay also uses like 4 other instruments that arent even in the song.

i think people just hear things around them that arent significantly registered by the conscious mind but you hear it so much it gets put into your subconscious the psychological term is called “fast mapping” its the same reason why you might say a word and not really know what it means but you use it in the right context, etc.
i remember seeing a comedian online also who played the chello or something and hated this paticular song because it gave everyone else nice pieces and the kind for his instrument sucked and he tried to get away from the song but he couldnt because aerosmith and all these other bands used the same melody.
