Christ this is the most powerful person on earth…everything should be transparent.

How can anybody argue with that??
Disagree completely. Next thing you know we’re requiring the same of the VP, S of T, etc. etc. 30 years from now we’re requiring all CEOs of big businesses.

There are plenty of powerful people in the world, it’s a slippery slope and releasing all private information is not something I’d endorse.
You don’t think that the public should have access to things like his medical and school records?

Lanky, if you were going to hire somebody that important to run your company…you are going to dig into EVERY aspect of their background…education, criminal record, ability to work in the U.S…references, background check, credit history ect.

Shit, I do that for manager level positions I hire for in my company…why should the most powerful person in the country be exempt?

There is a difference between an HR exec running a criminal background check, etc. and releasing that information to the entire world.

Birth certificate, yes, because it’s a requirement to be POTUS.

Other medical records seem unnecessary. I don’t need to know that in 1982 the POTUS had a pollup removed from his asscrack, or that he’s got ED.

School records I’m on the fence about. I can see the use, but also feel like some papers that were written 20 years ago could easily be taken out of context.

im actually surprised that trump was able to get obama to play this card - it has been a great tool for obama over the last 3 or so years. it would have been to his advantage to let this play out atleast until the 2012 elections were over.

This is what I think about Trump (and he is proving it every time he opens his mouth).

I think that he knows that he would be crushed by the President in a debate on any substantive issue.

So what?! Distraction. Now he can join the hallowed halls of the Legit American Murdering Prezidents – just like BUSH, et al.

Who do we bomb next?

Of course, Obama will just use the “BUSHDONEIT!” argument to crush his opponents with his superior intellect.
During the last election Obama didn’t look all that impressive, now that his opponents can question/criticize his actual actions vs. his plans he’ll look even weaker imo.

This would have NEVER, NEVER happened to a white president named Mike Smith, even if he was from Hawaii.

This just proves that the inherent racism of the far right is still nothing but bullshit.

Good to have you back Irish…lol, I’ve missed your rather acerbic wit around here lately.

But let us not pretend that the media did not dig up the most mundane and not even remotely relevant facts about W. during his time in office…comes with the POTUS territory no?

Race tends to be a card played by BOTH sides.

I actually agree that Trump is a self-promoting blow hard, but Obama is also a joke, with zero concept of actual real-world economics.

We’re in a massive jobs crunch and he’s adding all sorts of burdens on employers that will force logical employers to get the hell out of the USA (from taxes, to Obamacare, to oppressive regulations, to new lawsuit risk (ADA in particular), to union hand-outs, to Chicago-thug retribution against people and industries that don’t support him).

Obama has made it make clear by his actions that if any given industry or persons did not support Obama with money and public support, he would use the power of the government to shut them down. He’s targeted individual CEOs that dared speak out against him with lawsuits, IRS tax audits, etc.

The saying is “capital goes where it is appreciated and well-treated.”

In a global economy, this all the more true, as there are so many more options.

Only an idiot would open (or expand) a business in Obama’s USA if they had the ability to open it in a country that did not punish success.

It’s the problem with socialism: eventually you run out of other peoples’ money.

A CEOs background check is not shared with the entire company.

You have that wrong, why am I not surprised? While I’m not fond of Trump good for him for making Obama come forth with the proper paper work. And why didn’t Obama do this in the beginning? Why provoke about 43% of the population to think that he was born on foreign soil?

Obama is the clown for keeping this in the public eye as an issue.

Yes, the chosen one would beat everyone in a debate, especially if said debate were edited ahead of time by the main stream liberal media.

By the way Hillary Clinton ate his lunch in most of their debates. But, we had to look at her so everyone thought Obama won.
